Vacuum Bonding

Vacuum Bonding The vacuum bonding process permanently bonds high wear resistant composite materials such as Tungsten and Titanium Carbides. The specialty wear resistant materials are bonded to a softer non-corrosive stainless steel base. This tougher more ductile material provides flexibility and greatly reduces the risk of knife damage caused by over-torqueing during mounting. In many cases the bi-metallic blade will also cost less than a solid knife.
