Coatings
Are you looking for increased wear resistance and lubricity? We offer
many types and styles of coatings for applications where composites are
not an option. The most commonly used coatings are the Chemical Vapor
Deposition (CVD) and Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) series. This includes
coatings such as TiN (Titanium Nitride), TiCN (Titanium Carbo-Nitride),
and TiC (Titanium Carbide). All Of these coatings offer increased wear
resistance and added lubricity, helping to reduce costs by extending blade
life and reducing amount of cut product sticking to the blades. Tougher,
more wear resistant coatings, such as Plasma Sprayed Tungsten Carbide
are also available for extremely abrasive conditions.
